A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed against Nissan North America Inc., by the parents of a woman who was killed in a sport utility vehicle (SUV) rollover accident in May 2006.

The woman was driving a 1993 Nissan Pathfinder, in McLean County when the accident occurred. The complaint alleges the vehicle's restraint system failed after the SUV entered the median and rolled over.

The suit seeks medical and burial expenses along with unspecified damages.

A spokesperson for Nissan North American has been notified about the lawsuit, but they have not made a statement.

Due to ongoing litigation, no further information is available at this time.
